MASTER INDEXES
With its built-in agency-to-agency data-sharing system, In-Synch RMS allows law enforcement agencies to share summary master index information on persons, organizations, locations, and vehicle items.
ACTIONABLE RESULTS
Officers can drill down into the details of these indexes to view more granular items. Our data-sharing system automatically updates information as users enter data into the RMS, without waiting for an “upload” to an expensive third-party system.
EFFECTIVENESS
In-Synch RMS data sharing significantly increases the effectiveness of fighting and solving crime for each cooperating department.
A CASE FOR DATA SHARING
Agencies in the same geographic location often contact the same people, organizations, addresses, and vehicles. Through normal daily activities, law enforcement continually gathers and records data related to this contact. Without even realizing it, information entered in a traffic citation could contain the missing piece that solves a burglary investigation at another agency.
You might ask: "How can my neighbor's traffic citation help me solve a burglary investigation?"

Maybe a witness saw a "Red Ford Truck" with a license plate ending in "234" leaving the scene of your burglary? What if you could use that partial vehicle information to search not only your data but neighboring agencies' data as well? Within seconds you could have a lead on matching vehicles from neighboring departments. You then find that one of the matching vehicles was involved in a traffic citation. Not only are you able to gather complete vehicle information, but now you also have the driver and owner's contact information.
It's not hard to imagine how quickly data sharing can increase your agency's ability to solve more crimes.
